LASH EXTENSION

Is it painful/itchy? Does it sting? How long is the process?

Not at all, in fact you won't feel anything and will most likely fall asleep during the 90 - 120 minutes process.

Will it make my original lash fall faster/damage my original lash?
No, lash extensions will fall following your original lash growth cycle. Lash extensions will not reduce your lashes or make them go bald. Correct lashing technique will only glued the extension(s) to ONE original lash (1mm away from the root, never on the skin!) therefore will not interrupt the growth and condition of the original lash.

Please remember to treat your lash extensions gently, do not rub on them & comb them upwards every after shower.

*Note: lash perm is proven to be more damaging, since it forcefully bends the original lash using strong chemical.
How long will it last?
4 - 5 weeks (depending on your maintenance, skin type & weather)
Are our products safe?

We only use Medical-Grade adhesives that are Low Fume, Formaldehyde-FREE and Long Lasting (Made in USA/Japan). We also only use premium Synthetic Lash that are free of animal-cruelty.

According to Lash Experts and Associations across the world, lashes that are derived from live animals/human should be avoided due to unhygienic reason.

NAILS

Do we need to take a break from gel manicure?

It is actually okay to have back-to-back gel manicures as long as the gel manicures are applied and removed CORRECTLY.

What makes your nails thin and fragile is not because the gel adhered onto your nails, but wrong technique of removal, type of gel that is used, and picking off the gel polish by yourself.

Good thing, Dandelion uses BIAB™ that acts like a strengthening barrier to your natural nails & prevent chipping. It doesn't need to be filed off completely from your nails (during removal) and a thin layer can be left behind as a protective barrier. So, don't worry!

WAXING

Why waxing?

Waxing is a better alternative than shaving because:

  • The ultimate smoother sensation
  • Safer (no incidental cuts)
  • More efficient (prolongs the time until hairs grow back)
  • Hair grows back finer
  • Remove dead skin & help lighter skin tone
  • Eventually stops the hair growth entirely
Will waxing make my hair grow back thicker/stronger/darker?

Absolutely not!

Waxing does not cause you to grow more hair follicles. In fact, if you become a regular waxer, you will notice that your hair will become quite sparse and less coarse. When hair is shaved, it is cut off at the thick part of the hair, which is why you can feel stubble the next day. A properly waxed hair is removed from the root, and when the hair starts to grow back it will be new hair - very fine at the tip, so no stubble. The only things known to stimulate hair growth are hormones: natural or artificial.

What are soft and hard wax?
There are two types of wax that are used for in-salon depilation:

  1. Soft wax, a.k.a. strip wax, is applied thinly to the skin with a depilator/roller. A rectangular cloth (read: woven strip) is pressed onto the wax and then swiftly removed, taking both wax and hair with it. Strip waxing is effective for covering large areas of skin quickly, making it popular for use on legs and arms.
  2. Hard wax a.k.a hot wax, is applied to the skin with a spatula. No woven strips are needed when using hard wax. Hard wax is usually preferred for sensitive areas because it can minimize bruises and scar & is less painful.
What is Brazilian Waxing?

Also known as the Hollywood Waxing or the Playboy Waxing, Brazilian Waxing removes all hair from your pubic area as painlessly as possible. You may choose to have everything taken off, or to leave a shape on the front. Most people choose a strip or a triangle. When we say ALL hair, we mean every last strand from front to back.

Does it hurt?
With the right technique, we promise to ensure least discomfort & pain during the process. Rest assured that our therapists are well-trained to work fast and professional. However, based on our experience, the first-time is usually the most inconvenient for new patrons (it will get much better the second or third time, trust me!). Probably because new patrons are more nervous.

Bottom line is, it is really not as bad as you imagine. If we can describe the level of pain, it will be more like surprising jolts rather than actual pain.
What kind of wax do you use?
We use both soft and hard wax by Perron Rigot (imported from Paris, France). We have tried experimenting with a lot of big brands of waxes available and finally settled down on Perron Rigot wax due to its texture and quality. Perron Rigot has won many awards and is UK salon's #1 favourite wax.
Is there an age limit for any of the waxings?
We will wax clients of any age, but if you are younger than 17 we do require a parent to accompany you to sign our waxing consent form
When can't I wax?

We cannot wax you if you fall under any of the following categories:

  • You just had an IPL (laser) on the same area within the last 6 months
  • You are under medication of Retin-A or Roaccutane or any similar skin medication that usually makes your skin really dry
  • You have sunburn or cuts or wound on the same area



*Note: we suggest to avoid waxing 3 days prior, during, and 3 days after your period since your skin is usually more sensitive during that times.
